Policy Agreement:

  • Psychological Services: Psychotherapy is a personalized process that requires active engagement from both the therapist and the patient. The therapeutic journey may involve challenging moments, but it aims to empower you with tools and techniques to enhance your life and relationships.
  • Virtual Services Requirement: Please note that all virtual services require that you reside in the state of Texas. By signing below, you confirm that you are a Texas resident. Additionally, you agree not to record the session, and you will promptly disclose the presence of any others who may be listening in as soon as they join the session.
  • Fees: The basic fee for a psychotherapy session lasting up to an hour is $50. Your very first session will be discounted 50% to help orient you to the services and ask any questions about the practice. Please be aware that missed or canceled appointments, without 4-hour notice, will incur the usual charge of 50%.
  • Insurance Reimbursement: My practice operates on a fee-for-service basis, and I do not accept insurance. As such, all fees for services rendered will be the responsibility of the client and are to be paid directly. I understand the importance of navigating healthcare costs, and I’m committed to providing the highest level of service to you. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the fee structure or payment process, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
  • Cancellation Policy: A cancellation fee of 50% of the usual rate for an hour of services will apply if notice of cancellation is not provided at least four hours before the scheduled session. This fee aims to compensate for the reserved time that could have been offered to other clients.
  • Communication: For telephone calls, please leave a detailed message on my confidential voicemail, and I will return your call at my earliest convenience. Email communication is limited to scheduling and billing, and confidentiality over the Internet cannot be guaranteed.
  • Confidentiality: Your privacy is of utmost importance. Exceptions to confidentiality include situations where harm is threatened to yourself or others, cases of abuse or neglect, court orders, and consultations with other licensed mental health professionals.
  • Special Situations: Separation, Divorce, and/or Custody Disputes: If you are considering therapy for your child and are involved in a separation or divorce, joint legal custody requires consent from both parents. In custody disputes, I will not provide testimony beyond the scope of your therapy. Your signature below indicates that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this Patient-Therapist Contract.
